The security and welfare of each child is paramount to us. We operate a secure entry system and parents are required to sign their child in and out at the beginning and end of each session. Children will not be permitted to leave the premises with an unauthorised person until parental permission has been sought. It is vital that you inform the nursery of any changes to regular collection patterns.
Every child is different. Some children settle into nursery life with ease whilst others may take slightly longer to adjust to their new surroundings and as such settling in sessions very much depend on the individual needs of the child and the family. We endeavour to work closely with parents and carers to ensure each child’s first experience of nursery life is a positive one.

Creating Happy Memories
It is a privilege to watch the children in our nursery grow and develop.
Paint pots for parents
We value the vital contribution that parents and carers make to their child’s education, and we actively promote, encourage and value positive relationships with parents and everyone involved in children’s future.
paint pots for staff
We have taken great care in selecting a committed, enthusiastic and professional staff team, many of whom have been with the nursery for many many years, and we pride ourselves on our low turnover of staff.

We strongly believe that children thrive and flourish when given opportunities to explore the natural environment. We fully recognise the importance of outdoor play on physical, social and emotional prosperity.
Our Nursery Setting & Rooms
baby room: 0-2 years
Our baby room provides a safe, loving and nurturing environment that caters to the needs of children from the age of birth to two years, operating on a 1:3 adult/child ratio. Within this room we aim to provide a home from home experience and work closely with parents to follow the home routine of each baby as closely as possible, meeting each child’s individual needs. There is a quiet sleeping area which contrasts the busy play area where children heuristically explore and discover their world. Our babies enjoy daily walks in the local area and make use of their dedicated garden situated at the front of the building.
Toddlers: 2-3 years
Our 2-3 room caters for up to 20 children working on a 1:5 adult/child ratio, comprising a quiet room, activity room and messy playroom. Our child-centred approach gently guides each child in this age group through a thoughtfully planned day. Children have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities such as sensory play, imaginative play and construction all carefully planned to meet their individual development needs and interests following the birth to three guidance.
Preschoolers: 3-5 years
Our 3-5 room is the biggest of our three rooms and caters for up to 48 children, operating on a 1:8 adult/child ratio. Within this room we operate a free-flow indoor/outdoor approach to learning and children have access to an extensive range of activities and experiences to safely explore and investigate regardless of the weather. Our curriculum planning is child-centred, child-led and responsive to the individual needs and interests of the children. Practitioners observe children closely, carefully and skilfully supporting, modelling, extending and enhancing the play and learning taking place. We support and encourage children to respect one another, learn to share and develop a healthy self-image through the use of praise, encouragement and positive role models.
We Offer Free Settling In Sessions.

We also offer a range of funding option for your family
We are thankful to work in partnership with Perthshire Council to provide funding for 3-5 year olds.
Many families do not take advantage of the financial help that is available to them for the cost of childcare. Families on middle as well as low incomes may be entitled to financial support such as Child Tax Credit or Working Tax Credit. This extra help, called ‘the childcare element of working tax credits’, is available to individuals on lower incomes to help with the cost of childcare. The amount received is dependent on your circumstances and income, but could cover up to 70% of your childcare costs.
Child Care Vouchers allow you to pay nursery fees tax free from your salary. This is a salary sacrifice system of up to £55 per week per parent. The money comes directly off your salary before deductions, giving you savings on tax and National Insurance contributions. If you already have a voucher or e-voucher that is given to the nursery and is deducted from your bill. A number of childcare voucher providers offer this service to companies, please ask your employer if this is a benefit they offer.
If you’re a working parent, you can open an online account to pay for childcare. The government will top-up the money you pay into the account. For every £8 you pay in, the government will add an extra £2. You can receive up to £2,000 per child per year. You, and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £120 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage). If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you’re unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible. If either you, or your partner, expect to earn £100,000 or more, you can’t get Tax-Free Childcare. You can’t use Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as childcare vouchers, Universal Credit or tax credits. You can use it with the 15 hours and 30 hours schemes.
