Our Baby Room is designed and resourced to care for children aged 3 months to 2 years. All staff in our Baby Room have undergone designated baby training and two out of the three qualified room staff are parents themselves so understand the juggling skills that parents need to balance childcare and working life.
The staff plan daily individual and group activities to enhance your child’s development and learning whilst ensuring we follow every child’s home routine. Our Baby Room motto is “playing hard achieves miracles”.
Our Toddler Room is designed for children aged 2 to 3 years. We ensure that your child is safe, secure, happy and loved whilst they are with us at nursery.
Children are encouraged to lead their own play with staff scaffolding this learning. We encourage independence skills throughout the day and at meal and snack times children are encouraged to use their self-help skills to serve their own meals/snacks and pour their own drinks.
We have a designated Physical Development Star, Amy, who is responsible for ensuring all children are actively involved in developing their core strength and school-ready, including put on their coats using the flip technique.
All children are encouraged to develop and thrive within their individual abilities.
Learning continues into our Preschool room, where children are prepared for the transition to school. Daily routines within this room are structured but adapted to meet individual children’s needs. Children are provided with a variety of activities which help them develop into confident learners using their current interests to inform planning. The staff in our Preschool room are supported by an onsite Early Year’s Teacher who works closely with the two main feeder primary schools to ensure a smooth transition to school.
We provide an Out of School and Holiday Club services for local school children attending Sir Alexandra Fleming and John Randall Primary Schools, aged 5 – 11 years.
