Our Team

Our wonderful team of nursery educators are all well-qualified and have many years of experience in nurturing young minds and delivering creative and stimulating learning experiences. 

The team is led by Laura De Oliveira who has 14 years’ experience in early years and has been the Nursery Head since September 2018. She has a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education and a Level 4 in Leadership and Management. Laura has personal experience of parenting through her own family.

Laura says:

“My aim is to provide the best possible care and education at all times for our young children. I want it to be fun and to allow our children to grow and learn in a safe and exciting environment with each child reaching their full potential and gaining the skills they need to take them on their journey through nursery and into big school."

Miss Tasha

Miss Tasha is the Deputy and Curriculum Leader and also leads Swan Class (preschool). She joined Swinbrook House Nursery School in January 2018 and is a qualified early years teacher with 10 years of experience.
Being a teacher is the best job and I also have a passion for photography.

Miss Jessie

Miss Jessie is the SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) and works with the Cygnet Class (toddlers). She Joined Swinbrook House Nursery School in January 2016. Miss Jessie has a Level 3 in Early Years with 6 years experience in childcare.
My interests are music and film; I also have a degree in fine art which I like to apply when assisting the children in their own creations.

Miss Katie

Miss Katie is an Early Years Practitioner with14 years experience in childcare with Level 4 Early Years qualification. Katie is based in the Cygnet class and joined us in September 2019.
Being a part of a child’s development at such a crucial time is important to me. I also enjoy family time and traveling.

Miss Masuma

Miss Masuma has a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and is based in Swan Class. Masuma joined in September 2020 with two years early years experience.
I enjoy being a positive influence and supporting children to achieve thier goals. In my spare time I volunteer at a women's refuge supporting women who can only speak Bangla, Hindi or Urdu.

Miss Alison

Miss Alison is an Early Years Practitioner - With a Level 2 in Childcare and 5 1/2 years experience, Alison is based in Cygnet Class. She has been at the nursery since September June 2015.
I enjoy seeing the children grow in confidence. I also enjoy spending time with my daughter and socialising with friends and family.
